Nikashy is known for his tech-house sets, full of energy and positive spirit. His goal is to release some of his own stuff and try to please as many party freaks as he possibly can with his crazy rhytms of Tech-House & Techno.
Originating in a small mining town of Idrija, DJ Nikashy – Nejc Vidmar's childhood was closely intertwined with music. At the age of eleven he got hooked to electronic music and soon started exploring it through his own work. Guided by an experienced mentor he quickly got the hang of creating his own music and finding his own individual style. Nowadays, Nikashy has his own production set and has already worked with numerous musicians. His music reverberates with positive spirit and energy, constantly exploring new techniques and reaching an ever-growing base of fans in the underground scene. His work extends beyond the music production, as he is also active as one of the organizers of several large Slovenian music events.
Among the most notable achievements of his music career are winning the competition of the Slovenian Preparty DJ competition agency in 2011 which considerably boosted his performance bookings in Slovenia. He was also the DJ of the students' pre-graduate party trips to Greece twice. For the past three years he has also been the resident DJ of the club Coco Cafe in Portorose, one of the most visited clubs playing underground music on the Slovenian coast. The year 2013 was one of the most successful years of his career so far. DJ Nikashy won the Burn Residency DJ competition – out of 5000 competitors from 90 countries he placed in the top 18 performers, who were all awarded with a trip to Ibiza, where they had numerous master classes with Fat Boy Slim, Avici, Steve Lawer, Solomun, Maceo Plex, Pete Tong and many others. He was noticed by several promotors, managers, label and club owners at the top of this industry, who expressed high praise of Nikashy's talent, positive energy and voiced great expectations about his future.
