MELT! FESTIVAL SOLD OUT! Four weeks before the festival madness is about to start, we can announce: Melt! Festival is officially sold out! But there are still some opportunities to get hold of some special offers: On the one hand, there's our Melt! Hotel Train. A few remaining seats (including festival tickets) are still available. To purchase 3-day tickets plus Melt! Train ticket, click here. At the Melt! shop you can buy 3-day tickets together with this year's official Melt! t-shirt for EUR 119,90. These are very limted so you will have to hurry. For all lucky ticket holders, a few more things to take into account: Our own Melt! app is here. You will not only have access to the latest updates via push message but also be able to keep an eye on all our stages in real time. You are also able to create a personalised running order. An FAQ section will provide you with all necessary info about Melt!, a map will show you the way, and a bus schedule is also available. Picture galleries will also bring Melt! Festival's atmosphere right to your phone. Very important as well: travel arrangements: Deutsche Bus and Cool Tours still offer easy and stress free options to get to Melt! Attention to all Melt! goers arriving by train from the South: from 12 July to 1 August, there will be no train traffic between Bitterfeld and Dessau. However, we do have shuttles ready from Dessau, Gräfenhainichen and also Bitterfeld. Only Wittenberg will be without shuttle service this year. For further info, check our homepage. Still three weeks to go, so why not spent your time waiting for Melt! with our new video format. The fourth episode is available on our homepage as well as on 3min.de. For all journalists: accreditations aree officially closed. Remaining applications will be answered within the next couple of days. More details about the festival will be announced shortly. That's it then: it's number 13, baby. Melt! Line-Up Changes We have to make two more changes regarding Melt! line-up: substitutes for Clues and Sweat.X will be announced soon. Opener - The Audiolith Pferdemarkt on July 15th: Saalschutz, Egotronic, Bratze, Frittenbude and, of course, the DJs of Hamburg's cult label are going to take over Melt! Klub on 15 July. Also this is why we kindly ask you to not organise any private parties with sound systems in the camping area. The capacity for the pre-party is limited to 3,000 people, so we are charging EUR 5 (including fees) for entrance. 50% of that fee will be donated to the Alberto Adriano Remembrance concert in Dessau on 12 July 2010. Tickets are available on www.meltfestival.de/tickets. Melt Tickets: 3-day ticket valid for Friday, Saturday and Sunday: SOLD OUT 2-day ticket valid for Friday and Saturday: SOLD OUT We do not sell 1-day tickets on location. We advise you to only buy tickets at shops listed below. At previous events, fake Melt! Festival tickets were unfortunately distributed among festivalgoers. Also don't pay more for a ticket than indicated. We don't recommend buying tickets from shops that claim to be "official" Melt! shops. You will not be able to pick up your tickets on location! NEW ACTS FOR BERLIN FESTIVAL CONFIRMED We are very excited to announce brand-new additions to Berlin Festival's line-up which will take place at Tempelhof Airport on the September 10th - 11th. Alongside acts already confirmed like Editors, Fever Ray, LCD Soundsystem, Atari Teenage Riot, Boys Noize and 2manydjs (live), even more highlights will join us for a fantastic weekend on the historical grounds of Tempelhof Airport. Hot Chip is up for an enthusiastic performance - one of only two festival gigs in Germany this year. After Hot Chip's rapidly sold out show at Astra in March, the Brits with their unique blend of glitzy electro tunes and pop attitude are back for their well deserved and biggest show in Germany's capital. Berlin Festival's fifth edition is held in September for the first time, as part of Berlin Music Week's premiere. For that occasion, everybody's Swedish darling could be persuaded to be part of this year's line-up as well. We're happy about the feisty female force from Scandinavia: the lovely Robyn will delight us with one of her performances. Her second mini album/EP, which will be released via Ministry Of Sound, is due on Berlin Festival's opening day - September10th. We can also announce that the City Slang Stage is complete: besides Caribou, Herman Dune and Junip, Norman Palm, Zola Jesus, and Barbara Panther will add to a harmonious line-up. Unfortunately, Port O'Brien parted ways and are no longer existent as a band, and had to cancel their gig on the City Slang Stage. After an extensive hiatus, Belgium's Goose is back on track. The band will present its upcoming album at Berlin Festival. There are even more acts that are definitely worth checking out: We Have Band, Neon Indian, Baby Monster, Le Corps Mince Du Francoise, and Spleen United! Unfortunately, Washed Out cancelled all European dates, D.I.M. is no longer part of the Boys Noize Night, and First Aid Kid decided to tour Australia in September instead of paying a visit to Berlin Festival. Besides the live acts, the infamous Mobile Disko is back to entertain you till dawn. Berlin Festival is proud to announce the presence of the Silent Disco Noize for the first time at an open-air festival in Germany! Record labels will join young German and International designers at the popular Berlin Design Market and label Market. Follow the Hangar Art trail which will feature various artists from both Berlin and further afield! Friday, 10th September - incl.
