V'intrigue Nights

Meseca oktobra skupaj s prenovljenim Top Six klubom vrata odpira tudi sveža serija eventov s poudarkom na kvalitetni elektronski glasbi, V'intrigue Nights. V sami uverturi v goste prihajata težkokategornika domače proizvodnje- Dataminions, ki sta še posebej v zadnjih letih doživela pravi razcvet s svojim delom ter tako kronala že tako zavidljiv renome, ki sta si ga ustvarila s samostojnim delovanjem. V drugem V'intrigue tednu bomo gostili 'zlatega dečka', artista bosanskih korenin, saj prvič v Slovenijo prihaja Forest People, ki bo s svojim temačnim, trdim in globinskim produkcijskim setom prevel najtemnejši državni praznik. Serijo bomo nadaljevali še bolj eksplozivno, saj se nam tretjo noč pridružuje francoski producent in dj, Maverickz ki nas bo komaj stisnil v urnik prenatrpan s potovanji po celi obli ter Slovenijo obiskal prvič.Četrti četrtek pa v goste vabimo spet domača producenta in nastopača, znana po svojem deep-tec zvoku, maskiranca, mojstra intrig; duo Danza Macabra. Bodi V'intrigue... ***** Program: I. / ***** 18.10. četrtek ***** / 'OPENING NIGHT' with DATAMINIONS (SI) Dataminions were conceived some decade ago, literarily underground, in a small dark studio at the Kiberpipa (Cyberpipe), a Students’ Union ran art laboratory in Ljubljana downtown. It started as a quartet of three young producers and DJ Bizzy, one of the original "Slovenian Techno Sound" inventors, as their mentor. Initially it was meant to be an electro project. The guys have produced couple of tracks that were picked up by Billy Nasty’s Electrix label, but the wrath of recession in music business got them and the original Dataminios have ceased to operate. Couple of years latter, after the success of projects such us Rotor, Temponauta and Ouroborots, DJ Bizzy hooked up with his colleague Boltzmann, who used to mix his projects in the same studio and they’ve revived Dataminions – this time as a techno production duo and special DJ-live act with strong, dark, intense, heavy bass oriented sound and clear message that techno is nothing if the perfect form and tight production don’t bear any content: “We all operate in a binary system, but there’s still much to be explored. When you do or play music, you have to be open minded and search for those tiny empty spaces between the obvious zeros and ones." So, wake up guys! Forest People is the alter ego of young deejay and producer from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dragan Lakic. Born and raised in the small town of Prnjavor, Dragan first got in touch with electronic music trough a friend who gave him an album of Mauro Picotto. His interest in techno and minimal music grew fast and he soon discovered the beautiful world of electronic music. After some parties Dragan got to know the right people and started mixing records in 2004, and soon playing in few towns of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It did not take long before Dragan started producing tunes and soon proving to be a natural talent, his techno is starting to get recognition from deejays and producers from all around the world. Dragan Lakic aka Forest People has released music on many different labels,to name few of them: DMOM, Toffler Music, N.O.I.A. Native of Lille in northern of France, Maverickz is one of the most powerful DJ/Producers in France! Born in 1983, and influenced by new trends in music, dance and 80s pop, he was conditioned to the rhythm from an early age. Living at the border of Belgium, he was influenced by the electronic sounds developing these big Belgian/French border nightclubs known today throughout the world. He started DJing at the age of 18, and was quickly slotted in on a local radio station (Galaxy FM). Soon after, Contact - the French radio station for dance and electro quickly hired him. At the same time, Maverickz started trying his hand at production.The radio work allowed him to meet producers, which sparked his first remixes, and collaborations. In 2008, he made his production debut on Big Big Soundz with Alpha Beta - a hymn which made a big impact on the radio and clubs. That was followed by Calypso ", "Follow me"," Waterlily ", or" Zipopotamuz. Today, Maverickz continues the productions and remixes, swinging between progressive, techno, or tech house, his production is hosting on best labels in the biz, always present in charts and now ranks among the most anticipated young producers. Together they have released to major labels as dARKROOM Dubs, Tanzbar, Travelling Soul Recordings, Btrax, Moma and played around the world for the last 2 years (Brazil, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Serbia, Croatia, Austria, Italy,...), however they decided that more needs to be done.
