After a phenomenal start, the GLOBAL 2000 TOMORROW FESTIVAL will be taking place on the never-taken-into-operation nuclear power station Zwentendorf for the second time from May 30 to June 2, 2013.

The festival will see more than 80 international and national acts such as Fantastischen Vier, Kaiser Chiefs, Marteria, Frittenbude, DJ Hell, Astrix, Naked Lunch or Attwenger. Together with the Austrian environmental organization GLOBAL 2000, they will take a stand against nuclear power and for a better tomorrow on 3 stages.

But the GLOBAL 2000 TOMORROW FESTIVAL does not only satisfy the artistic aspiration. The NPS Zwentendorf – never in use – is a symbol for democratic home rule and a better future without nuclear power. The ecological notion runs through the festival like a thread. As an environmental organization, the festival’s consistent ecological focus is a key objective for GLOBAL 2000. Regional organic food, reusable containers, waste prevention and separation as well as the free journey from Vienna by public transport make the GLOBAL 2000 TOMORROW FESTIVAL Austria’s Green Event. It is the first festival seeking the certification with the Austrian eco-labelling. Furthermore, more than 20 NGOs use the festival as voice and meeting point of civil society.

Musically, a wide bridge will be forged at the NPS and the surrounding area. On the main stage, internationally renowned artists such as Fantastischen Vier, Kaiser Chiefs, Marteria, Frittenbude or Itchy Poopzkid will contribute to an unforgettable festival atmosphere. Of course, national artists such as Naked Lunch, Attwenger, Petsch Moser or Clara Luzia will be on stage.

The Electronic Tent hosted by Boink! and PlemPlem is dedicated to driving electronic beats. With DJ Hell, Sascha Braemer, Dusty Kid, Stimming and Elektro Guzzi, a truly star-studded event is waiting for you. As an innovation, the Psytrance Circus presents stars like Astrix, Krama, Atmos, Atma and Materia. True masters of their art will demonstrate psytrance and progressive psytrance in all its forms.

Even the building of the NPS is transformed into a work of art and a gigantic stage for visual arts: besides visual projections and 3D mapping, Herbststraße fashion school will present innovative recycling fashion on the catwalk. Furthermore, a multitude of side events and smaller-scale performing artists will provide for colorful diversions.

The GLOBAL 2000 TOMORROW FESTIVAL takes a stand and demonstrates that the pleasure of attending a festival and a sustainable way of life do not have to be contradictory.

Festival cycling

Do you know the mood that develops when a lot of people are on the road on their bikes, surrounded by mobile sound systems, and the feeling to be one of them? If not, you now have the opportunity to find out! Join us and many others on the trip from Vienna to Zwentendorf alongside the Danube river and let the ride become part of your festival experience. Together, we will manage luggage transportation on freight bikes and bike trailers, take timeouts to go swimming and have a picnic on the banks of the Danube.

We take care of the sound, the food and the support with luggage transportation. At the festival area, we offer secure bicycle parking spaces. Further information will be available soon.

Arrival by car

If there is no other way than coming by car: the area is easily accessible by car, and there is a large parking space. As car sharing improves the environmental footprint, we have some tips for riding along:
