More Acts For Berlin Festival 2013!

23.04.2013

Tempelhof Airport will open its gates on 6th and 7th September, welcoming Berlin Festival revelers for two whole days of electrifying performances from artists including Björk, Blur, My Bloody Valentine, Pet Shop Boys and many, many more. With a genre clash of pop, techno and indie, the much-loved Art Village, a poetry slam, spoken word and a mix of underground and mainstream, Berlin Festival brings together all the cultural facets of the German capital. Today we can reveal yet more world-class acts confirmed to play at Berlin Festival 2013.

At Tempelhof Airport, British singer / songwriter, Ellie Goulding, will dazzle the Berlin Festival masses, performing songs from her critically acclaimed breakthrough album Lights and 2012 follow up Halcyon. Austrian-raised and New York-based Left Boy, who brought us a true dancefloor smasher with his debut single "Black Dress" will also perform, whilst Swedish indie-rockers The Sounds, will present us with exclusive material from their brand-new album. Get Well Soon, S O H N, Charli XCX, Pool, Bosnian Rainbows, Parquet Courts, Ruen Brothers and Capital Cities are also confirmed to perform at Tempelhof Airport. Plus, Graf von Bothmer, will perform a newly composed soundtrack for Walther Ruttmann's legendary silent movie, Berlin: Symphony of a Metropolis, live on stage.

The newly introduced Club THF at Hangar 2 will cater to all the techno lovers amongst you. Pantha du Prince, Miss Kittin (live) and Booka Shade (DJ-Set) will join already announced acts including Ellen Allien, Tale Of Us and the mighty John Talabot (live).

Meanwhile, Club Xberg at Arena Berlin will play host to world-renowned producer and owner of BNR, Boys Noize, returning for his third appearance at Berlin Festival! Once behind the decks, he never fails to keep the crowd dancing well into the early hours. The same can be said for Swedish duo, Röyksopp and The Prodigy's Maxim, also confirmed to get behind the DJ booth at Club Xberg. Djedjotronic, Strip Steve, SCNTST and Audionite will take on Club Xberg at Arena Berlin on Friday with a Boysnoize Records Special followed by Berlin-based label Exploited on Saturday with Shir Khan, Round Table Knights, Claptone and Cocolores.

Unfortunately, AlunaGeorge had to cancel their performance at Berlin Festival due to unforeseen reasons.

More acts will be announced in the next few weeks. Tickets are available via www.berlinfestival.de/tickets .
