Tom Novy - Follow Me To Ibiza

This summer he packed his suitcase and “recordbags” and moved to Ibiza again. For the sun, the beaches and the parties, to the DJ’s and partypeople’s Mecca. Enfant Terrible and scallywag, turntable Samurai and DJ legend: Tom Novy, one of the world’s busiest House DJ' s and producers.

Tom has shaped the international club scene for more than 15 years now. He adores the music and the parties and passionately celebrates both together with his fans. His international chart and club hit list meanwhile seems endless.  In his early days he made his break-through with the now legendary and often cited “Superstar” single. Anthems like “Pumpin”, house hymns like “I Rock” or “Your Body” and  radio friendly hits like “Take It” and “Now Or Never” followed. Also in 2008 he created an absolute masterpiece with his remake of “Rhythm Is A Dancer”  as Novy vs. Snap, which the annual Beatport polls awarded the “Best House Track of the Year”.

His Ibiza base is the “Space”. On the club’s terrace he has rocked the Island’s best parties Sunday after Sunday over the last years. Since Danny Tenaglia was not able to continue last year’s successful Thursday Residency, Tom together with the Space management decided to take over Thursday.

This year Tom has arranged and mixed a top-class compilation entitled “Follow Me To Ibiza“ in co-operation with his label Kosmo Records as homage to his summer residence. On this album, club gourmets find previously unreleased remixes of classics such as BBE “Seven Days & One Week” by Tom & Jerry (Tom Novy & Jerry Ropero), Tomcraft' s “Loneliness” by Orli & Da Ragnio, Da Hool' s “Meet Her At The Loveparade” by TV Rock and “Exterminate” by Novy vs. Snap. It also includes remixes of his greatest hits, hot new stuff by the Maestro himself and insider tips such as Genji Yoshida, ZoeXenia, Fennek, EnoC, Adrian Bahil and Orli & Da Ragnio as well as brandnew tracks by colleagues such as Kid Massive, Oliver Lang, Per QX (Cover of Depeche Mode' s “Everything Counts”) and Van Gogh vs. Eniac. It is completed by cult tracks such as Orli & Marties`”White Flower” in the Jerome Isma-Ae remix.

Tom has whipped up two DJ mixes for “Follow Me To Ibiza“. The somewhat more chilled “Deep As The Ocean Mix” which beautifully works both on the i-Pod at the beach and as sound track for the sundowner and the “High As The Novy Mix“ where the title is the motto: Crank it up.
