KROKZ
Kr0kz has been attending musical school since childhood. He learnt to play the piano for a couple of years before he found his real passion when he first came into contact with german hardcore and gabber in 1995. He started producing his own stuff in 1997, using the then popular computer trackers. He soon joined the Slovene demo scene, where he was very active in several groups and also released a few tracks for them. During that area he was mostly making trance music and a bit of hardcore. He visited his first techno/rave party in 1999 and got more devoted to techno music, but trance was still reflected in the majority of his productions. As the demo scene started to dissolve, Kr0kz could not see himself as a part of it with his underground sound anymore. Very quickly he started using some of the new computer programs for music making and with the advance of the whole computer technology and faster processors he could finally fulfill one of his old fantasies: a live PA. In 2003 he applied to a Best Newcomer competition in Slovenia and carefully prepared his act with themain cause to do as much live as he can and with no automation. The decision to be a part of that competition proved to be a smart one, as the crowds liked his music and he got a chance to play in a number of clubs throughout Slovenia, Croatia and Italy. Eventually he grew tired of standard sounds and overrated tracks, so nowadays his sound is full of compressed distortions and industrial sounds, a unique mix of the Dutch new-wave darkcore and hard techno. In 2006, in addition to his hard techno live act, he also started DJing, to promote hardcore industrial sound of other people, not only himself.
