Stevie Diamond (UK/undergrund dj's)
In Stephen's 9 year DJ career he has managed to play in 9 different countries and 10 different cities across Europe, amassed 7000+ 12" vinyl, rocked most of the prestigious clubs in London, guested at gigs up and down the UK, hosted Radio shows on 3 different stations, started on his own productions and on live tv had a crowd of 10,000 people in the palm of his hand. Not bad for a 26 year old!
After spending his first summer in Ibiza, he managed to clock up regular plays at clubs/bars including Es Paradis, Club Summum, Extasis, Nightlife, Play 2, Kaos, New Star Bar and Kanya. Even though he maintained playing the harder edge of House, he was attracted to the energy of the music that the Space Terrace residents (Daniel Klein, Jose de Divina etc) were playing and returned to the UK with memories of the best Sunday afternoons he had ever spent in his life!
After regular djing trips to the White Isle, his passion for US House music grew and influenced by djs such as Sneak and Erick Morrillo he later went on to play at various locations around London including SW1, E.F.C.C and Aquarium. Clockwork Orange handed him his biggest UK guest slot to date. A crowd of 3,000 plus attended London Docklands venue the Chainstore where Stephen played on the same bill with djs such as Tall Paul, Jeremy Healy, Brandon & Alex, Jon Pleased and Fabio & Grooverider. Whilst he began to get booked regularly from the promoters of Kinky Malinki, Candy Girl, Big Fish, Born Gorgeous, M2, H20 and London Promotions in London as well as guesting at clubs out of town such as Sound Factory - Ipswich. He has proven to be popular with crowds championing the sounds from labels such as Crydamoure through to Subliminal and all things funky!
2003 has continued Stephen's rise, highlighted by guesting at Defected 4th Birthday bash at M.O.S (baby box, Full Soul Records) and for Clockwork Orange's 10th birthday bash extravaganza at Turnmills amongst other UK gigs. His recent gigs in Kiev, Ukraine at club Maximym and Maribor, Slovenia were his 8th & 9th country in under 2 years he has played in cementing his spot in the UK's up and coming list.
He has been complimented by promoters throughout Europe for his style, ability and enthusiasm for djing. With future bookings across the UK, Europe and Malaysia to look forward to, together with presenting a popular Saturday evening show on London radio station R House FM, as well as finding time to indulge in some funky house productions, he is definitely a dj to note for the future!
