Funk Guru

Funk Guru started DJing in '94. In the beginning he played hardcore and gabbo and soon went to techno, trance and acid and played all over the northwest Croatia, mostly in Varaždin and čakovac up until '96 when he temporarily quit DJing. While studying in Zagreb, after a two year break, he starts buying jungle/DnB LPs, reviving his love to this music. He soon starts DJing in net. club mama, where he gets to know Phillipe and Borna, DnB DJs with whom he decides to create their crew, conFusion. Soon after that they have their first Illectric Funk night, that soon becomes a synonym for a quality club night in Zagreb with regular guest DJs from UK and a mandatory VJ part. His style is diverse as he plays all kinds of drum'n'bass, from ambiental, bukem d'n'b, liquid funk (soulful version of d'n'b which he likes most), ragga/old-school/jump-up all the way to the tech-step.

Phillipe

Phillipe (Filip Etarović) was born on a sunny day in 1981 in a hospital and not in a pool. He got the drum'n'bass virus on a EZ Rollers concert. From that moment on he spends most of his time in an internet club where he listens to everything he missed since '90. After he buys his first records and meets Funk Guru, he, Martina, Borna, and Neno organise the first event where they gather all Zagreb's d'n'b DJs all due to the lack of broken beats in Croatia. The party goes well and after little over 6 months their efforts combine in a crew called conFusion and the organise their first Illectric Funk night. In the last two years he spends all his energy in organisation and believes in a better tomorow. He plays many kinds of DnB but his happiness peaks when he can rough it up with a had nu school breaks set.
