Devilfish
is responsible for the techno madness created by Sthlmsoundmachine (on Joia), the funky house grooves of Skin Up and Pimp Squad (on Boo), the dark, evil electro-tribal sounds of Chemical Soldiers (Q-Rec). Devilfish is constantly pushing the barriers of traditional electronic dance music through their innovative recordings, their energetic four-deck DJ sets, and their explosive live performances. Devilfish has earned an extensive range of remix credits for such high profile artists as Trevor Rockliffe, Thomas Schumaker and La Familia, and their remix of Andrew McLauchlins Love Story has dominated dancefloors worldwide for its fusion of hard-edged techno beats with funky percussions. “Manalive, which was voted Track of the Year at Love Parade 2000 was licensed to a mix CD by the legendary Carl Cox, just as Live1999 was licensed by Danny Tenaglia for his Global Underground CD. In 2000 Devilfish launched their own record label, Frequent, to deliver more of their awesome quality productions to the world. With a genuine mission to produce quality techno, but to also be creating sounds and styles outside the audiences expectations, it is clear that the Frequent imprint will be a future source of diverse, but solid dance music. Frequent maintains a strong techno focus, while trying to break the barriers of what considered being techno. The uncanny techniques of Sina M. Solouk and Jacob Heidrich are well reflected when playing the combo live and DJ sets that has made Devilfish the number one techno act in the world right now.

Paul Mac
began DJ-ing 14 years ago at the age of 16, starting up as a hip hop DJ. AS with so many other DJ's at the time, the pull of house and techno became too strong and he began to use his carefully honed mixing skills in another direction. Paul's earliest experiments in the studio go back to around 1995. After about a year of working, he released his first EP on Josh Brent's "Not Guilty" label which went on to receive support from such heavy weight DJ's as Derrick May and Colin Favour. Encouraged by this, Paul then sent out demo's which resulted in a series of releases on James Ruskin and Richard Polsen's "Blueprint" sister label "Fracture" and a long standing setup with "Fragmented Records" which to date has seen 6 singles and an album. It was also at this time that Paul set up his own label "Stimulus Recordings" which led to other collaborations with artists such as Ben Sims, James Ruskin, Ben Long, Mark Broom, 65D Mavericks, Hardcell, Oscar Mulero and Takaaki Itoh amongst others. It also started Paul's international DJ bookings, leading him to play at various internationally known venues such as "La Real", "Sensor", "Family", "Cocoon", "Bugged Out" and "Metropolis". Since then, Paul has started the "C-Side" label, which is dedicated exclusively to his own DJ-friendly style trax and has recorded for a host of other highly respected labels including "Primary", "Mosaic", "Surface", "Ongaku", "Phont", "Primevil" and more - see discography for details. The last year or so, has seen Paul integrate a third turntable into his already unique hip hop influenced style for a slightly more creative approach, he has also completed a very successful tour of Spain with Ben Sims, following a split release from the pair, only released in Spain. The future sees a new album on one of the UK's main techno labels, "Primate", more releases on "Stimulus" and "C-Side" and various other labels. Also, various gigs at world top techno venues when his busy recording schedule will allow.
