Eddy The Fish aka Eddie F, today a Top Slovenian house dj & producer, traces his DJ-ing roots way back to early 1991, when he "graduated" from a minor club on the Slovenian coast to one what was then considered to be one of the topmost national venues, Nova Gorica's "Odeon" club, where he and a small number of other DJs performing (and partying) side by side quite literally paved the way in this part of the globe for the house&electroscene.
Starting in fall 1998, Eddy was asked to create and host a music show for the regional outlet of Slovenia's national television, and he came up with "Shock", heavily leaning on the clubbing scene, with bi-weekly features from venues and parties all over Slovenia, videos and exclusive interviews with the likes of Steve Lawler,Danny Howells,Danny Rampling, David Morales, Frankie Knuckles, Sandy Rivera, Bob Sinclar, Jamie Lewis, Barbara Tucker,Ultra Nate’, Spiller, Ralf, Michi Lange, Sven Väth, Takkyu Ishino, Dave Angel, Umek and many others.
In 1999 Eddy decided to take his years of DJ-ing experience in all major clubs to a higher level: and quite obviously, the logical creative progression was walking into a recording studio - "Hi-Tech" studio, in Italy, where his first house production took shape. Released by Cool Running of Milan, Italy, the track, "Evidence Of Love" (produced & music written by Eddy The Fish), featuring E-Love from London, UK, on lead vocals, harvested both an enviable string of splendid reviews in the dance music press and excellent sales figures, thus finding it's way into Slovene and Italian radio playlisting between 1999 and 2000. And, hot on the heels of "Evidence Of Love", in late 2000,Eddie coming up with a new and powerful house anthem called "My Angel", and this time featuring some female vocals, by a mysterious, elusive but vocally unmistakeable singer, Sybill. The track was released on Stefano Noferini`s Loud Bit label, Italy. In 2002 a new track, saw the light of day. This single, named “Sax Vibes” was released on Sounds Good club label of Milan, Italy, distributed all over Europe and subsequently licensed on many compilation albums around the globe.
In 2000 after a quite number of successful guest appearances, his skills, work and musical stamina had him appointed resident DJ in the respected and the longest running embassy of electronic dance trends in Slovenia, European super club Ambasada Gavioli, which he still holds to this day...
2003 has been a huge year for Eddie with a busy schedule that has seen him constantly touring the country and abroad. Notable gigs have included Kauflaten@(Zurich,CH), Aka @The End (London,UK) Fabrik (Worterse, A), Labirint (Sarajevo, BIH), Hacienda (Vodice, CRO) plus numerous gigs @ massive festivals like MEET ME, SINDUSTRY, MTV VALKANA BEACH...
Eddie has recently set up his own label F-recordings, and signed a worldwide distribution contract with Mail com distribution company from Stutgart Germany. The label will become operative in mid January, with the release of the first of his new series of productions, which will brings an amazingly driving and Global house sound.
