Lori the Hi-Fi princess
(hifiprincess.com, phonix.at, futuretech, CANADA)
International DJ Hi-Fi Princess, aka Lori Ward, has been establishing herself in the underground party scene since 1993. Beginning in Victoria, Canada, Hi-Fi's love for music evolved quickly into a desire to start spinning. From '95 to '98 she developed a quirky electronic house/tech sound that took her out of the local scene and expanded her territory throughout the West Coast of America and across Canada.
In 1998 she headed off to London where she continued to develop her sound. During that time she held 2 residencies in London, as well as making appearances at club 333 Old Street and at various techno outlaw parties. After having been on the scene for six months she accepted an offer for a weekly residency in Luxembourg's Evolution through Luxury U.K. promotions. There she had the opportunity to work alongside some of the biggest djs on the scene like Timo Maas, Gayle San, and Ritchie Hawtin.
Having taken part in the ever-changing music scene throughout all of Europe , Hifi Princess's sound has evolved into a sophisticated mix of techno and Electro and also her other favorite, a warm tech-house/ progressive sound. She has spun with a lot of great djs during her time touring in Europe like Joaquim Garraud, Jeff Mills, Chris Liebing, Surgeon, Valantino Kanzyani, W.J Henze and Adam Beyer to name a few. She has also played at some of the best clubs and festivals in the world as well. Places like The Tunnel-NYC, Liquid Club-Madrid, Koneisto Festival-Finland, The Best-Zagreb, Ambasada Gavioli-Slovenia, Mazzo-Amsterdam ,Sona-Montreal ,Turbo-Toronto, 1015 Folsom-San Fransisco, Klub Kuaille-Tokyo Japan, Cittadella-Czech Republic, M47-Hungary, and her residency Suncity in Graz Austria.
Lori had her first release on Shimmy Recordings out of Bristol, U.K. Her track, "Refused Entry", was released June 12, 2000 on the "Collective Thoughts EP". This E.P had great reviews by some of the top DJ's in the business.
After spending 4 years living in New York City , in 2002 Lori decided to make the move back to Europe and is now based in Vienna, Austria. Her main focus the last 2 years has been in studio. Her first album Foreign Communication under the alias Lori J. Ward was released in 2004. It is a 13 Track downtempo cd and is available at www.ebl.cc Lori is also signed to Highball Music (www.highball-music.de) Her track entitled "Disastermind" is now available on Join Us Records, and was signed to the Love Parade Berlin 2004 Compilation as well as 3 other large europeon dance compilations..

Her newest project is with Tobias Frick. Her new live act is called Phonix. Their new album House of Jive is now complete. Is is a mix of electro-breaks-down tempo and rcok’ish. They begin to start to play live in May 2006.

Max Brown
(maxbrown.at, futuretech, AUSTRIA)
Max Brown has had a quick rise into the electronic music scene. He got involved with music in 1999, and in 2003 he started to play records out to the public. In a short time he has already played in countries such as Croatia, Greece, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Austria, Slovenia, Germany and in Thailand at the legendary Once in a Full Moon party on Koh Phangan.
Max had some of his first gigs in one of the most popular locations in Graz, the P.P.C. Theatre, and in Dom im Berg, where he played alongside well known DJs such as Jonathan Ulysses, Syke ‘n Sugarstar, Hifi Princess, Jamin Murphy, David Moreno, Tania Vulcano, Eric Sneo, Marco Nastic, Joachim Garraud, Rui Da Silva, Antoine Clamaran and Tocadisco, to name a few.
He first began with techno music, but now also plays a very innovative style of “new” house music, progressive and tech-house. He plays these genres, trying to combine the elements of each that he loves into a style unique to himself. Sometimes more aggressive or funky, depending on the crowd and the mood of the club or party. No matter what is he playing, his sets are always driven to dance floor music, and making the crowd do what they are there for, dancing.
In the past he performed with HiFi Princess where they did a 2X4 techno set (4 decks-2 mixers). They had their first performance together in CzechRepublic in March 2005 which had rave reviews.
On top of djing, he has started on the road to becoming a great producer with his music being featured in the film “Stylers” (SPM Films).
As well, he is also collaborating with the known dj/producer HiFi Princess aka Lori J. Ward from Highball Music as well on his own. Keep and eye out for this artist as you will be hearing a lot more from him in the years to come.
