HOT CHIP:
This must be love: Armed with their – once again phenomenal - third album, "Made In The Dark", Hot Chip will also be making their third appearance at Melt! this year. The five London cuddle-pop nerds played such a blinding show on our Main Stage in 2007 that they've meanwhile even committed it to DVD. After many rumours and more speculation, their addition to the Melt! line-up has finally been confirmed. A token of love that we intend to reciprocate from the bottom of our hearts to the wiggle of our bums this summer.

FUN, FUN, FUN:
But that's not all. In addition to the regular band and DJ shows at Melt! 2008, this year it's all about the specials: Baile Funk, Drum & Bass and the fun factor are our big thing this time round. We won't be scrimping on the high times this year either. Announcing another of our timewarp trips bringing together an act of today with an icon of the 90s: after last year's liaison between Deichkind and Snap!, we're excitedly looking forward to the world premiere of Uffie & Feadz feat. Technotronic. This Beat is Melt!

ELECTROLORE
Alexander Marcus will be bringing a brand new genre, electrolore (electro + folklore) to Melt! This young man, whose idols include German 60s and 70s icons Roland Kaiser, Peter Kraus and Klausjürgen Wussow, will make the Melt! Klub dance, laugh and dream with his late-night slot.

MELT! FEATURING BERLIN BATTERY:
Those brilliant blokes at online blog http://berlinbattery.blogspot.com love Melt!, and Melt! loves them right back. From now on, DJs Shir Khan, DJ Supermarkt (Le Hammond Inferno) and Jack Tennis will be introducing the hottest acts at Melt! 2008 in their English-language music blog and ferreting out the best remixes and videos by the scheduled artists for us. Of course they'll also be doing their thing at Melt! with some of their friends.

DRUM & BASS AND DUBSTEP:
In addition to the Baile Funk Special (Man Recordings Special) on Saturday, Melt! 2008 will be presenting more broken beats than ever. Drum & Bass hero Goldie remembers his visit to Melt! 2007 well; many saw him let his emotions to take over during Richie Hawtin's DJ set. That's why this year he'll be presenting the biggest Metalheadz special in very a long time – an extravaganza spanning two days: On Friday, the man himself will be spinning the decks on the Red Bull Music Academy Radio Floor together with Storm, Skream, Doc Scott, Caspa, Philipp Maiburg and Commix, among others. And on Saturday he'll be rocking the Main Stage for over three hours together with Doc Scott to close out the day. Supported on both days by MC Lowqui. Sensational!

3 TAGE WACH (THREE DAYS ON THE GO) –  OFFICIAL MELT! ANTHEM NOW ON SALE:
Lützenkirchen is not only one of Germany's trash-techno gurus, but also the man who produced this year's official Melt! anthem, "Drei Tage Wach". The track is a call to arms, but above all it's the perversion of dadaistic content, hedonistic thoughts made music. Or rather, in the words of its creator: "Pille Palle, alle Pralle, Druff, Druff, Druff". Which means something like "everyone get drunk and dance". Only more elegantly worded. We recommend the album "Pandora Electronica", on sale from 30th May. Of course Lützenkirchen will also be performing at Melt! Spontaneous appearances by people in rabbit costumes are a distinct possibility.
