RARESH VOTED BEST ROMANIAN DJ AT NIGHTS.RO AWARDS 2010
Saturday February 27th, Kristal Glam Club in Bucharest hosted the yearly nights.ro awards event that highlights the Romanian clubbing community's favorites. The club was packed right from the start with people eager to find out the results of the vote.
This year, Arpiar member Raresh walked away with three awards: 'Best Romanian DJ', 'The most representative Romanian DJ abroad' and the 'Specialist Award', a chart compiled only from the votes of the people in the music industry.
The awards for event promoters were divided. 'The Best Event of 2009' winner was Sunwaves 6, organized by Sunrise on the Black Sea Coast in August, with a line-up that included the likes of Richie Hawtin, Luciano, Lee Burridge or Steve Lawler. On the flip-side, The Mission received the award for 'The best party brand in Romania', from their constant success of events throughout the year, like The Mission Dance Week-end festival, Underworld concert or Tiesto and Ferry Corsten mega-parties.
Kristal Glam Club, the venue that hosted the Nights.ro Awards 2010, blew away any competition and again won the award for 'Best club in Romania'. VJ Dreamrec was also reconfirmed as the 'Best video artist', and is still undefeated in this category. Production duo Livio & Roby won the award for 'Best electronic music project', infront of second place trio Arpiar. Unfortunately, Raresh couldn't make it to the event, so DJ Optick who was in sceond place had the privilege of palying at the party. Optick also won 3 awards, 'The best DJ set with his mix at Liberty Parade', 'best romanian production for a track called "revolution" and for 'the best clubbing radio show, Nextlevel'.
