Detone is Darren Emerson's new and exciting venture. The label's focus will be on releasing club singles. Original material from Darren and collaborations with many of the world’s finest production talent.
Fresh from the release of 001, 'Gracelands', produced alongside Jamie McHugh, Emerson prepares to fly solo on the label's next installment, 'Decisions'. For the indecisive amongst us, this is not for you. For those of us whose priorities lay firmly on the main room dancefloor, Decisions is your number one choice.
Its large, warping bassline, ever present horns and the rise and fall of its siren-like synths are the perfect soundtrack for a vocal that gives the answers to the eternal 50/50 question...
On the remix Darren has chosen two of the UK's brightest young producers, Matt Tolfrey & Chris Sylvester. Whether its under their own names, or Chris's alter-ego Inxec, the duo have built a fantastic reputation off the back of their releases for esteemed labels including Tuning Spork, Murmur, Esperanza, Great Stuff, Saved and Get Physical.
Their remix plunges the huge groove of the original to uncharted depths, creating a low-slung, laid-back vibe, broken only by the sinister villain'esq synth drops and dramatic synths. A great remix.
