Berlin Festival 2010: 1 week to go!

31.08.2010

Turbostaat and Sizarr Added to Line-Up, Club Berlin Floor Added to Set-Up

Anticipation and excitement all around, the Berlin Festival countdown is about to commence! Only 1 week left till the 2-day event at Tempelhof Airport kicks off. Therefore it's about time we filled the last two slots in our line-up. We're glad to announce that Turbostaat and Sizarr are ready to join us!

Turbostaat is back on track with Das Island Manöver. In combination with decent punk riffs, Turbostaat manage to walk the line between mosh pit and making sense. Somewhere between small town flair and world music samples, on the other hand, the boys from Sizarr found their own, unique style which they are about to release onto the world. We're happy that the Sizarr have time for a stopover at Tempelhof Airport.

Not only our line-up is growing, however. Our festival grounds will also be expanded by the Club Berlin Floor. From 11pm to 6am, the electro enfants terrible who were about to rough up the Mobile Disko are now rocking out on our new stage, namely: Berlin Battery Crew feat. Shir Khan, DJ Supermarkt and Jack Tennis as well as Sick Girls, Hugo Capablanca, Oliver $ andRenaissance Man. Headlining Club Berlin Floor is no other than Erol Alkan, who was about to ring in the wee hours at Hangar-4 originally. Change overs no longer keep you from moving your feet either. Beat-laden diversions between acts will be provided by Karrera Klub, King Kong Kicks, Le Savy Sev, Marius Funk as well as Radio & Fernseh. With the Mobile Disko, it actually comes down to the wire. The Disko's line-up will be announced shortly before the festival.

With all the newcomers and changes, performance times were slightly moved about as well. For example, Tahiti 80 moved to Hangar-4 and Turbostaat took over their slot on Mainstage. For further changes regarding the line-up, click here.

On our festival homepage, exciting things are happening as well: three exclusive tours were added to our Berlin Info page. In collaboration with Fritz Radio, Fritz Music Tours Berlin takes you on a legendary tour of the legendary Hansa recording studios (held in English) or a journey through Berlin's rock and pop history by bus (German). Furthermore, you are able to participate in a tour through the historic Tempelhof Airport

Since we're so extraordinarily communicative, we not only provide you with all the info you need via our festival homepage but also via various social networks. So feel free to click all the like, follow and add buttons there are to always be in the know.

All info regarding acts, offers, discounts and Berlin tips are listed on the left as well as on www.berlinfestival.de. The countdown has begun, Berlin Festival is on its way!
