Already the memories of summer are fading fast. And the clocks will soon be wound back and winter will truly set in again. Only those of a truly Polar disposition really relish this knee-shaking drop in temperature, one compounded by the sudden appearance of advent calendars in the shops, so one of the few saving sanity graces taking shape on a not-too-distant sun-kissed horizon is next summer's fun at The Garden Festival.
2011 sees the festival going Back to Our Roots - which means the festival is taking place across one joyously long weekend, a full seven days and nights of beatific beats in the sun and late night excursions on the stunning site which juts into the invitingly azure Adriatic waters. The pine-shaded peninsular continues not only to capture but truly enrich peoples' imaginations and is a true fusion of relaxing holiday and riotous festival, situated in an area close to the historic city of Zadar and many other travel and adventure options. There will be two Argonaughty Boat Parties and one Barbarellas Discotheque session each day hosted by old friends and new faces and the Main Stage and Tiki Bar will be open daily too with an abundance of live acts and DJs from all over the world.
There are still Early Bird tickets left, but the deal finishes soon so everyone need to be quick to take advantage of this great offer. Likewise keep checking the main routes to Croatia from the UK - and abroad too - on airlines including Ryanair, Easyjet, Jet2 and Croatia Airlines as tickets will be released soon.
The Garden Get Together Tour is back too, kicking off in London on Saturday 5th February and from there will take in several of the UK's and Europe's coolest clubs featuring special guests and Garden friends from the last few years. Watch this space!
Nick Colgan, one of the Garden Festival's founders, says that: "We're taking the festival back to one long week and we're going to pack in lots of great music for everyone who comes in 2011. It's already shaping up really well and there's been lots of interest from all over Europe, both for DJs and live acts wanting to perform and lots of people after tickets. We're always thinking of how to refine and enhance the Garden experience so we can't wait to get everyone back again!"
